SME Workshops

Within the scope of the Turkey-EU Business Dialogue (TEBD) project, 60 Workshops are being held for representatives of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) – including 50 Workshops in various Turkish cities and regions and 10 Workshops in different Member States of the European Union (EU). All of these SME Workshops are organised in cooperation with local Chambers of Commerce and Industry and/or Commodity Exchanges.

The purpose of the TEBD SME Workshops is to reach out to representatives of the Turkish and EU business communities at local level, in order to increase their understanding of EU-Turkey economic relations and also to elicit their input on how the policy framework for doing business between Turkey and the EU could be improved. The SME Workshops focus in particular on the importance of the implementation and modernization of the Customs Union and the progression of Turkey’s EU accession negotiations.

Here (below) is a list of all the SME Workshops that have been held in the framework of the TEBD Project so far. Looking at the 43 SME Workshops which were organised up until the end of May 2021, a total of approximately 1,400 Turkish and European SMEs have already been reached.
